Anything to be done about this? I haven't logged on in like 8 months and come to see this. What the hell. Can I at least get my account back? I've got all 3 games AND nightfall.

Assuming your got hacked and was used for the reason you got banned, I don't think it'll be too high. For Anet to overturn that ban you'll probably need to prove that your account was hacked and thus it wasn't you who was trading real money. How you'll do that, I have no idea. Maybe proof that you quit the game, proof that someone managed to access your account (printscreens of security software telling you something got into your computer, etc). Don't think this will count for much, but it's worth a try. Maybe Anet will be generous.
PS: I've heard support takes a few days to respond, though you'll often receive an automated response soon after emailing. Don't rage if there's no immediate response .

ANet has logs of IPs that have logged onto accounts.
It really isn't hard to see that before and during the real money trading, someone from Hungary was logging on etc.

This sucks. I suppose it's my own fault for not changing my password to something harder to guess. I'm just annoyed that all the things I had are going to be gone, all the time and effort put into all 8 characters is now wasted. I know it's not a lot compared to some of the masses of treasure other people have built up, but I was really proud of my monk's FOW armor and cool weapons. And the skills I had capped. Sigh. No use whining about it, I suppose.

Gives you a chance to restart.
I've know people who have gotten hacked and lost millions (literally) from stolen minipets and ectos.
